UK: Following the opening of its 100th property, Derby-based serviced apartment provider The Stay Company has revealed expansion plans across the East Midlands.
Phoenix Court in Gedling, Nottinghamshire, marked the centenary milestone for The Stay Company. Rooms vary from studio to two-bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens, living rooms, and work spaces. All sites operated by The Stay also offer professional housekeeping and 24-hour phone support.
The opening of Phoenix Court follows a £2 million investment in Whitefriars House in Nottingham city centre back in October 2022.
Now, The Stay Company plans to add more sites and expand across the East Midlands. Current locations include Derby, Nottingham and Leicestershire.
Dan Wilkinson, director of The Stay Company, said: “It is clear there is a growing demand for premium, extended stay accommodation in and around the East Midlands. We have numerous apartments in and around Derby, and our recently opened trio of sites in Nottingham are proving very popular with tourist travellers and businesspeople alike.
“We’re now looking to extend our portfolio across the East Midlands. This has been our plan for some time, but in the beginning, we wanted to concentrate on Derby and Nottingham. We’re excited at the prospect of growing our quality brand and giving other cities a taste of what The Stay Company is about, offering more guests our high-quality serviced apartments.”
Wilkinson added: “After Derby came Nottingham, and this followed a natural progression of expansion from our core area of operation. We searched hard to find some really good properties and we certainly achieved what we set out to do. Now we are looking across the border in Leicestershire and we have already identified some interesting development opportunities.
