Ireland: Staycity has properties in Dublin and London, with a combined 391 units.

The centrally located property on Mark Street is a short walk from Trinity College and close to Pearse Street Rail station, Grafton Street and the National Gallery.

The aparthotel offers studio and one-bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens/kitchenettes, living and dining spaces along with 24-hour reception, well-equipped fitness room, on-site guest laundry and Staycafé selling breakfast, snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Dublin-based Natalie Smith has been appointed general manager of the Mark Street aparthotel, heading up a 20-strong team and bringing with her a wealth of hotel experience in operations, housekeeping and management.

The developer on the project was Tetrarch Capital, with Dublin-based DTA the architect.

“This property has a fantastic location in the heart of the city,” said Staycity CEO and co-founder Tom Walsh. “We have seen a huge surge in demand for aparthotels, amongst both business and leisure travellers who appreciate the home-from-home environment and freedom to self-cater but with additional facilities such as the gym, reception and café.”

Earlier this month the company opened its largest Wilde Aparthotel by Staycity to date, part of a development in London’s Paddington.

The property features 249 design-led studios and one-bed apartments with bar, breakfast station, gym, guest laundry and guest lounge. The property is set in a £203 million development complex, part of the ongoing transformation of the area as an office and leisure location.

Atul Prakash, formerly general manager of Staycity’s first Wilde in Covent Garden, has been appointed general manager of the new property, where he will manage a team of up to 40 staff. “We will be focussing heavily on the guest journey and making Wilde the best place to stay as well as delivering various guest activities including wellness awareness and working closely with the local business community,” he said.

Walsh said: “We are particularly pleased that our Wilde Aparthotels brand is part of this impressive build and are proud to have been joint venture developers on the project. London plays a pivotal part in our ongoing European expansion and Paddington, together with our properties in Aldgate, Covent Garden, Deptford, Greenwich and Heathrow, give Staycity a strong footing across the city demonstrating its strategic importance as one of Europe’s key destinations for leisure and corporate travellers.”
