UK: Synergy Global Housing has added a new property in The City of London to its inventory.

The new property, on Lovat Lane near London Bridge and Bank, has 41 units and will open to Synergy’s guests this month. It is opening in partnership with City Apartments Ltd, through a 10 year agreement with Synergy which enables the partners to share the building and operating costs equally.

The accommodation comprises a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, which are available for short-term lets and have been recently refurbished.

The opening of the Lovat Lane property adds to Synergy’s portfolio of properties in the UK and Ireland, which includes serviced apartments in London’s Camden district, and two locations in Dublin.

Stephen Hanton, president, international, of Synergy Global Housing, said: “Over the last six months, we have leveraged our robust commercial position to develop innovative partnerships with property owners and accommodation providers. This has allowed us to expand our UK and Ireland footprint and is a new model for industry cooperation. In the next five years, we plan to continue this rapid pace of development through further creative partnerships with like-minded accommodation providers which will enable us to open further optimal locations in other key European gateway cities.”

In August 2020, Synergy engaged in a three-year partnership with STAY Camden involving 20 units of serviced accommodation in Camden Town. Synergy’s location at The Marker Residence in Dublin, which opened the following month, is a two-year partnership for 11 units, a number of which are planned to be converted from two- to one-bedroom apartments, with the second bedroom to be available for ‘work from home’ use.

Claire Barrie, Synergy Global Housing’s vice president of sales, EMEA, said: “The benefits of our apartments were recognised for the safe, autonomous havens they provided for those who continued to need to travel. As 2021 progresses, we will continue to work with travel buyers to restore confidence in getting more of their people travelling and moving – focusing on the many wellbeing aspects that serviced apartment living supports.”
