US: Synergy Global Housing announced the launch of REVE, an innovation lab that will “explore new developments at the junction of hospitality and technology”.
REVE will function as a think tank that will focus on creating solutions for challenges faced by the alternative accommodation sector. REVE has announced that it will begin its work with three core objectives: repositioning hotel assets, reimagining commercial assets, and developing hospitality technologies.
Synergy’s focus is on serviced accommodations. The company was co-founded by partners Jack Jensky and Henry Luebbert, who announced the launch of the lab on June 7.
Jensky said: “REVE, French for dream, seeks to create new possibilities in the alternative accommodation space by developing strategies for new operating models and systems to power the future of the global traveller experience. REVE’s primary charter is to explore the intersection of hospitality and technology by partnering with clients, operators, and technology providers to reimagine the next generation of lodging.”
Synergy named Jon Wohlfert as managing director of REVE. Wohlfert will manage the everyday operations of REVE, with help from Jensky and Luebbert.
Wohlfert said: “Over the last 15 months, one of the few bright and promising lodging industry segments has been the alternative accommodation sector. REVE’s mission is to partner with industry experts to research technology solutions, operating models and share best practices that will empower the alternative accommodations players to continue to outperform the overall lodging market.”
REVE will work to find an innovation convergence between industry disruption, guest experience, and client convenience in its work.
Luebbert said: “REVE will define innovative products and services with a focus on delivering a highly personal yet curated experience for the global traveller. Jack, Jon, and I feel a deep passion for evolving distressed property assets to meet consumer preference better and deliver a truly unique hospitality experience.”
