USA: Patrick Shearer will be based at the company’s headquarters in San Ramon, California where he will report to Synergy president, Debra Christopher.
Shearer will be responsible for the company’s financial operations. His duties include leading the finance team, managing financial resources, developing and implementing financial strategies, and risk management.
He brings more than 25 years of experience leading accounting, finance and special project teams both domestically and internationally to his new role at Synergy. Most recently, Shearer was the CFO of a publicly listed coffee company, and has also been a partner with four professional services firm. Here, he held leadership positions and was an advisor to venture companies, private equity funds and corporate entities.
Shearer said: “I’m excited to work closely with Debra and the rest of Synergy’s executive team as we continue to fortify our leadership position in the service accommodation sector.”
Christopher said: “What impressed me most about Patrick is his depth of experience and expertise across all facets of financial operations. His work in both the private and public sector will prove instrumental in helping us achieve our goals and further propel our growth as a leader in the extended-stay housing industry.”
