Worldwide: Serviced accommodation provider Synergy Global Housing has achieved a silver EcoVadis rating for its ESG initiatives.
EvoVadis is a sustainability ratings provider developed using international sustainability standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and the ISO 26000.
Criteria is evaluated across 21 elements and the four pillars of environmental sustainability, human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Charlotte Winter, sustainability co-lead and general manager at Synergy, said: “Achieving a top 15 per cent rating via EcoVadis is a testament to Synergy’s commitment to sustainability. We have invested substantially in recent years to driving real, tangible outcomes and this recognition underscores the value of our progress to date.”
Lauren Vizcaino, sustainability co-lead and global associate director of compliance and risk management at Synergy, added: “Collaborating with EcoVadis means Synergy now has access to a plethora of data which can support in aligning action plans with the areas of greatest impact. We look forward to leveraging this data to remain transparent with our stakeholders, while also acting as an industry leader and advocate in all things sustainability.”
The silver EcoVadis rating follows the latest annual emissions report from Synergy, which showed a reduction in total emissions by more than four per cent over the last 12 months. The report, which was created in collaboration sustainability partner GreenFeet, is the group’s third annual emissions report.
