US: Lalani Lodging Inc has opened a dual-branded Hilton property in Wichita Falls, containing both Tru by Hilton and Home2 Suites hotels.
Lalani Lodging, the developers of the property, held a grand opening ceremony for the Texas property, which is located on Sikes Lake, earlier this month.
The four-story property contains 151 rooms, including 76 Tru rooms and 75 Home2 suites. Each set of rooms is meant to fit the needs of different guests.
Kary Lalani, president and chief operating officer of Lalani Lodging, said: “Home2 is more of an extended stay product, all rooms are suites. They feature kitchens and are about 400 square feet, whereas the Tru is a smaller room, very sleek with moveable furniture and really caters to the next generation of traveller.”
The property also includes an array of shared amenities between the two hotels. Guests of either hotel have access to a 24-hour fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and fire pits and grills. The facility also includes a number of common and meeting spaces.
The new property, which is located next to the existing Homewood Suites by Hilton, sits in close proximity to a number of Wichita Falls attractions, including nearby Midwestern State University.
The dual-branded Hilton may also draw demand from the city’s Hotter’N Hell Hundred, an annual biking event where participants ride 100 miles in 100-degree heat, which is set to take place in August.
Lalani said: “We’re thrilled to have this open; it’s going to be a great addition to the community and a great addition for travellers in Wichita Falls.”
