EU: Independent lifestyle hospitality brand The Standard is extending its presence in Europe with three openings in Brussels, Lisbon and Dublin kickstarting in 2025.
Scheduled to open in H1 2025, The Standard Brussels forms part of the mixed-use ZIN redevelopment project in the Northern Quarter of the city.
The hotel will be located in the World Trade Center, featuring 200 keys – 20 of which will mark The Standard’s first extended-stay offering. Amenities on the ground floor will include a lobby restaurant and bar, and up on the 29th floor there will be a rooftop garden and brasserie.
Led by Verena Haller of The Standard’s design team, Belgian architecture and design firms Jaspers-Eyers Architects and Bernard Dubois Architects will collaborate on the project.
Over in Lisbon, The Standard will open a property in another mixed-use site located in a former naval hospital. STC Arquitetura will oversee the redevelopment, while The Standard’s in-house design team have partnered with Jaime Hayon of Hayon Studio.
The Standard Lisbon is expected to open in late 2025 and will offer 172 rooms alongside branded residences. Amenities include a cafe, a lounge and a restaurant, a rooftop cocktail bar, as well as an outdoor pool deck and terrace, and a spa.
Further ahead, The Standard Dublin will provide 200 rooms in the Dublin Arch (formerly Connelly Corner) development.
Standard International Holdings is the parent company of The Standard Hotels portfolio which owns The Standard, The Peri Hotels, Bunkhouse Group, and The StandardX brand debuting in 2024.
