Australia: The Sebel will open its latest serviced apartment property, in the Victorian town of Yarrawonga, next month, with two further properties to follow in 2021.
The first stage at The Sebel Yarrawonga will feature 63 units, with a further 53 to follow.
In addition to The Sebel Yarrawonga, the brand will open two new properties in 2021, one in the Melbourne suburb of Ringwood and the second in Lower Hutt, near Wellington in New Zealand.
Accor Pacific CEO Simon McGrath said: “The Sebel is a leading premium brand with a strong reputation for delivering exceptional accommodation and an outstanding service experience. Trusted brands, like The Sebel, bring quality and credibility to the serviced apartments sector, which has been rapidly growing in popularity. We are expecting to see a boom in this area, particularly in the current climate, as serviced apartments limit unnecessary contact with other guests and offer a safe and secure way to travel.”
The Sebel Melbourne Ringwood is a joint partnership between Accor and Victoria’s Brady family. The 103-key property will open in February 2021. The six-storey hotel will feature 48 studios, 48 one-bedroom suites and seven two-bedroom suites alongside an on-site restaurant and open-air terrace.
Located close to Wellington Airport, the Sebel Wellington Lower Hutt will overlook the harbour and is being constructed in tandem with the city’s new Civic Centre. The Sebel Wellington Lower Hutt will feature 60 studio and one-bedroom apartments.
“Each of these hotels will have significant impacts locally, driving employment and tourism to each location,” McGrath added. “Accor continues to expand its offerings across Australia and New Zealand – the Pacific is a strong region and the future of travel is bright.”
