UK/Ireland: Flexible accommodation operator Urban Rest has opened two properties in Dublin and London, takings its portfolio in Europe to seven.
Founded six years ago in Sydney, Australia, Urban Rest caters specifically to the business travel segment. Its current portfolio spans Australia, Ireland and the UK with further expansion into New Zealand scheduled for early this year.
Urban Rest Merrion Square in Dublin marks the third site in the city for the group. It joins Urban Rest Dublin Port which opened in August 2022.
Urban Rest Notting Hill in London marks the fourth site in the UK capital, following the opening of Urban Rest Battersea in February 2023.
The latest openings brings the group’s portfolio in Europe to seven.

Looking ahead, the company plans to launch sites in North Sydney and Parramatta in the first quarter of 2024, alongside its expansion into the New Zealand market. Further growth is planned in both new and existing markets in the UK and Ireland.
Late last year, Urban Rest diversified its operations and entered the boutique hotel sector with the launch of The Sarah in Sydney.
