UK: Flexible living operator Urban Rest has opened the first phase of its Hackney serviced apartment property in East London.
Urban Rest Hackney offers a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments. The second phase is expected to open in mid-2025, with a warehouse conversion adjacent to the current building.
When complete, it will bring the total number of serviced apartments to 30.
Urban Rest Hackney has also partnered with Guesty to provide a fully integrated digital platform for guest check-in, communication, and more.
Izabela Szumiers, managing director, Europe for Urban Rest, said: “We’re delighted to open Urban Rest Hackney as part of our ongoing expansion in the UK. This location reflects our commitment to providing business travellers with the space and flexibility they need while maintaining the high level of personalised service that is a hallmark of the Urban Rest brand.”
In London, Urban Rest operates serviced apartments in Battersea, Canary Wharf, Stratford, and Notting Hill. Additional locations include Spitalfields in 2025.
Internationally, the company has also recently launched properties in Dublin (Merrion Square), as well as several locations in Australia and New Zealand, including Parramatta, Bondi Junction, Richmond, Windsor, and Auckland.
Urban Rest is actively seeking new development opportunities across the UK, Ireland, and Continental Europe.
