New Zealand: Flexible accommodation operator Urban Rest has made its debut in New Zealand with the opening of Urban Rest Sylvia Park in Auckland.

Urban Rest Sylvia Park offers 34 one and two-bedroom apartments, a resident lounge and kitchen, coworking area, gym, media room, and a rooftop BBQ area with views over One Tree Hill and the Panmure Basin.

It has been developed in partnership with Kiwi Property.

The opening shortly follows the group’s recent expansion in Sydney as well as two property launches in Dublin and London.

“We are excited to introduce Urban Rest Sylvia Park as our inaugural property in New Zealand,” said David Whelan, founder and CEO of Urban Rest. “This expansion represents our commitment to providing travellers with exceptional accommodation options, and we are thrilled to set a new standard for hospitality [in the country].”

Jeff Baars, chief commercial officer of Urban Rest, added: “Our tech-enabled operational model ensures that Urban Rest Sylvia Park will meet the evolving needs of corporate travellers. We believe our commitment to delivering innovative accommodation solutions will greatly enhance the guest experience at Urban Rest Sylvia Park, contributing positively to the hospitality landscape [here].”

Additional openings from Urban Rest include locations in Parramatta and St Kilda in Australia.
