Netherlands: Yays has launched the Yays resident concept, which offers stays of up to six months via the Dutch rental platform Funda.

The move is a response to the high demand for temporary housing in Amsterdam and Paris.

The rental price includes gas, water, and electricity as well as services such as monthly cleaning and 24/7 support from a local Yays concierge. Rates range from For €1,299 per month for a studio, €1,499 for a one-bedroom unit, and €2,399 for a two-bedroom apartment.

Yays has joined forces with Compass Housing, which until a year ago mainly focused on housing expats.

Peter Heule, CEO of Yays, said: “The current economic situation is demanding for entrepreneurs in the hotel industry, but offers opportunities too. Everyone is looking forward to being able to travel and discover new destinations soon, but now the situation requires Yays to be creative on several levels. The Yays Resident concept offers the opportunity to temporarily live in our unique apartments which are fully furnished and where you can quickly feel part of the neighbourhood. Via Funda, we want to increase our reach and attract the right audience. We are looking forward to welcome the temporary Yays Residents.”
