Ireland: Lifestyle aparthotel brand The July has begun construction on its Dublin property, located on Capel Street.
The aparthotel is set to offer a mix of rooms catering to short and extended-stay trips.
Sustainability initiatives including solar panels, green roofs, and energy-efficient systems to reduce carbon emissions will support the building’s BREEAM Excellent certification.
Kees Tol, director of development at The July, said: “We’re excited to contribute to Capel Street’s evolution. Our Dublin apartment hotel reflects our commitment to creating sustainable, community-centred spaces that honour local design. The central location offers guests access to Dublin’s vibrant cultural heart, and we look forward to adding to the street’s energy and charm.”
The July has partnered with local contractor Elliott Group to work on the project.
Darragh Elliott, managing director of Elliott Group, said: “We are honoured to partner with The July on this landmark project. Respecting the community is at the heart of everything we do, and registering with the Considerate Constructors Scheme reflects our commitment to working with care for the local area while playing a key role in the revitalisation of Capel Street.”
The July Group currently has three open properties in Amsterdam with four more in development, located London, Dublin, Lisbon and Amsterdam South Axis.
Target developments include new builds, office conversions, mixed-use schemes and existing hotel conversions of 4,000 to 20,000 square-metres.
The July rebranded from City ID in November 2023.
