US: Kolter Hospitality, a division of The Kolter Group, has announced the acquisition of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota.

Located in Sarasota’s downtown district, the 18-story hotel, Embassy Suites by Hilton, was built in 2018 and has 180 all-suite guest rooms with views across Sarasota Bay.

The suites range from studio to queen and king. All rooms feature modern decor, space to relax and work, and high-speed internet.

The hotel has 303 square metres of flexible meeting space, parking, restaurant and bar, business centre, fitness centre and a pool.

Scott Webb, president of Kolter Hospitality said: “This is our second hotel in Sarasota, joining the Westin Sarasota, which has been a true success story.  We loved the downtown feel of the Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota and are honoured to add it to our growing portfolio of impressive hotels across Florida.”

Kolter Hospitality, based in Delray Beach, Florida, specialises in hotel management, development and acquisitions in the hospitality sector.  It currently operates 11 hotels totalling over 1900 keys and owns and operates three hotels on Florida’s west coast: The Westin Sarasota, Hyatt Place St. Petersburg, and Hyatt Place Coconut Point in Estero.

In 2018, the same year the Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota was built, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Orlando Airport completed a major renovation.
