VIETNAM: Marriott International to open 315 Executive Apartments in Danang next year
Marriott International will continue its expansion into Vietnam with the addition of 315 of its Executive Apartments in the coastal city’s CBD.
The apartments, located on the River Han, will occupy part of the 45-storey M Landmark Tower, which was created by the Alphanam Real Estate Group.
A collection of 315 apartment-style units will be located within the glass-clad tower, with modern amenities for business travellers and leisure guests on extended stays.
Jakob Helgen, area vice president, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar, Marriott International said: “With its stunning seafront setting, long sandy beaches and world-class activities and attractions, Danang is a key market for Marriott International in Vietnam, and Southeast Asia. The launch of our Marriott Executive Apartments in December 2023 expects to mark an important milestone in Marriott International’s regional growth strategy.”
M Landmark will also comprise a 300-room Courtyard by Marriott hotel which will feature a health and fitness centre, a café, lounge, billiard room, children’s activity room and recreational spaces.
Danang is Vietnam’s fifth largest city and an important port for the country, as well as being a centre for business and education.
These developments are part of a huge push by Marriott International, which is opening more than 9,000 hotel rooms (30 properties) across Vietnam. Marriott International currently operates 10 properties in Vietnam, spanning six brands.
Last year Marriott International announced plans for 4,200 dual-branded residential and officetel units in Ho Chi Minh City. Slated to be the world’s largest hotel-branded residential project it will open in phases towards the end of 2024. The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Hanoi is also set to open that year.
