AUSTRALIA: Daiwa Living Nesuto Group, a leading hotel and apartment hotel operator in Australia and New Zealand, will open a 211-key aparthotel in Melbourne next year.
Nesuto Docklands is a AUS$100m new build property, located in Melbourne’s The District Docklands.
The 211 key aparthotel will offer 58 one bedroom apartments, 20 two-bedroom apartments and 133 studio apartments.
The apartments will feature fully equipped kitchens, separate bedrooms, open plan living and dining spaces, plus internal laundry facilities.
Guests staying at the property can also make use of the enjoy a gym and there is parking onsite too.
Nesuto Docklands is close to shopping, food and entertainment, with a wide selection of cafes, restaurants.
Daiwa Living Nesuto Group has also made three key appointments to its team.
The aparthotel operator has appointed Nikita Beresnev as commercial director Australia and New Zealand. Beresnev joined Nesuto in 2018 as director of revenue and has been key in implementing Nesuto’s rebranding including distribution and digital marketing strategies. Beresnev is the main point of contact for revenue management, sales, marketing, including social, and distribution for Nesuto.
John Bristowe has been promoted to director of operations Australia and New Zealand. Bristowe joined Nesuto in 2018 and has been a key figure in restructuring the group’s New Zealand business and developing strategic relationships. Bristowe’s new role involves overseeing the operations of all Nesuto’s Australia and New Zealand properties, including the opening of Nesuto Docklands next year.
Lee Johnson has been promoted to human resources and training manager Australia and New Zealand. Johnson joined in 2019 as learning and development manager and relief hotel manager. He created the group’s brand signature service ethos and inhouse training programme, Make the Call, which helps Nesuto teams deliver great guest experiences. Johnson will head up all human resources across Australia and New Zealand as well as training, and development opportunities.
Melbourne has recently had lyf opening in Melbourne and a 90-key aparthotel in the Footscray neighbourhood of the city has been given the go ahead.
