US: Philadelphia-based hospitality company Method Co. has opened a new aparthotel in Charleston.

The Pinch aparthotel has been created in two Victorian-style buildings dating back to 1843.

The aparthotel in the centre of historic Charleston will offer 25 rooms including king rooms, one and two-bedroom suites and three ‘residences’ for stays of 30 days or more.

Rooms range from 34 square metres for a King room to 70 square metres for the Premier one bed suite and 103 square metres for the two bed corner suite. The three residences offer two beds in 114 square metres.

All room types feature a well equipped kitchen, large bathrooms, living areas, balcony, washer/dryers and areas to work as well as fully stocked mini bars.

The residences offer free wifi, Smart TVs and twin vanity units in the bathrooms.

Grocery packages can also be arranged for all room types.

The hotel will have two restaurants (to be completed this summer) and offers an Oyster and Cocktail bar and cobbled terrace as well as a gym and spa.

A statement from Method Co. said: “The Pinch will continue the brand’s mission of blending high-end, boutique hotel experiences with modern conveniences and amenities, along with creating thoughtful and distinct culinary concepts, to bring a new level of service to Charleston’s hospitality scene.”

The Pinch is the second hotel outside Philadelphia for Method Co. Other properties include Wm. Mulherin’s Sons, HIROKI, ROOST Apartment Hotels and Whyle.

Founded in 2012, Method Co. aims to create singular, authentic hotels, apartment hotels, and restaurants throughout the United States.
