Australia: Flexible living operator Urban Rest has appointed Dylan Burke as its chief operating officer.

Burke joins Urban Rest from WeWork, where he most recently served as regional VP and general manager for Asia-Pacific. 

Prior to this, Burke held a number of marketing roles with companies including CBRA, Dominus, and Inspired Asset Management. 

Writing on LinkedIn, Burke said: “After 7.5 amazing years, my time at WeWork has come to an end. Looking back at launching new markets, building teams, helping shape culture, and working alongside the most brilliant people across the region, I can easily say it’s been the highlight of my career.

“I’m thrilled that I’ll be joining Urban Rest as chief operating officer, arguably one of the most exciting hospitality companies in the game. Thank you David Whelan for the opportunity,” he added.

Burke will relocate to Sydney, where Urban Rest is headquartered.
