Denmark: Digital hospitality platform NUMA Group has announced its expansion into Denmark through a partnership with global real estate investment manager Invesco Real Estate.

As a result, NUMA is launching in Copenhagen’s Nørrebro district with 36 newly built units.

The first NUMA property in Denmark, developed in partnership with Invesco Real Estate, is strategically located at Drejervej 4, 2400 Copenhagen, in the heart of the Nørrebro district. Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2024, NUMA Copenhagen will offer individually furnished apartments, balconies and a rooftop terrace as it seeks to embody the “essence of modern and sustainable urban living”.

Dimitri Chandogin, managing director of NUMA Group, said: “We are delighted to launch NUMA’s highly successful model in Denmark in partnership with Invesco Real Estate with the announcement of our first property. The Nordic countries represent an important growth market for the NUMA Group.

“Our digital platform utilises automation to make processes more efficient and save significant costs. This is a particularly important factor in the Nordic countries,” he added.

In the same announcement as the Denmark expansion, NUMA confirmed the appointment of Umberto Ottaviani as general manager for Italy. Ottaviani’s responsibilities will include the key areas of expansion in the Italian market and engaging with investors, real estate SGRs [regulated Italian saving management firms] and other companies in the sector.

The company is continuing to strengthen its European presence since raising $59 million [€55.5 million] in growth equity capital in a Series C funding round in September.

In November, NUMA acquired Dutch serviced apartment platform YAYS from Proprium Capital Partners, boosting its footprint in the Netherlands, Belgium and France. There is also a secured pipeline containing properties in Madrid, Frankfurt and The Hague, with an additional 124 units.

NUMA’s accelerating growth strategy focuses on hotel and commercial properties in central locations of Europe’s major cities. The company principally targets “lively neighbourhoods” and main demand drivers for tourism and business travellers.
