Thailand: ONYX Hospitality Group has signed a business alliance agreement with Walton Asset Management to manage luxury serviced apartments called Shama Luxe Sukhumvit Bangkok.
The deal comes after ONYX Hospitality Group launched the Shama Luxe brand, an extension of the Shama brand, into the luxury serviced apartment market. This new property will bring the company’s Bangkok portfolio to six sites, including initial projects in Hong Kong.
Shama Luxe Sukhumvit offers 52 units of one- and two-bedroom suites and two-bedroom Walton Suites. The property has been inspired by London’s Knightsbridge, and is located in Soi Sukhumvit 39 in the Thonglor-Phrom Phong area. All apartments will have a living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom with a bathtub, and a working area. Communal facilities such as a fitness centre, a kids’ playroom, a swimming pool and free Wi-Fi are also available for long-term and short-term stays.
The company also plans to introduce three more locations in Hong Kong and Malaysia by the end of this year. These will be the Shama Johor Bahru, Shama Medini Iskandar and Shama Hub Metro South Hong Kong which will bring the brand’s total inventory to 19 properties in 2023.
