UK: Plans for a 19 unit aparthotel property have been approved in Bristol.

The aparthotel, which will offer 19 serviced apartments and an eight bedroom shared house, will be in Colston Yard in an old office building.

Local businesses and residents opposed the plans as the site is tucked away in a quiet courtyard, and they believe development will disrupt businesses and residents.

The applicant put forward a statement: “It’s not ideal but we can make it accessible. The architects have done a very good job of fitting a contemporary building into the existing townscape. There are challenges with the construction, but they can be overcome.”

As space is limited there will be no parking available but the aparthotel will offer parking for bikes.

Construction recently began on another serviced apartment development in the city – in Bristol’s Wapping Wharf.
