CANADA: Plans for Vancouver Island’s Victoria International Airport to have an extended stay hotel have been submitted.
If approved construction on the 129-room Marriott International brand TownePlace Suites could begin early next year to be completed by 2025.
The extended stay hotel, proposed by the Kothari Group, would include a restaurant, large meeting space, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre.
Anupam Kothari, president of Kothari Group, said: “We are excited to work with Victoria Airport Authority and Marriott International to bring the first true extended stay hotel in this growing tourist and business market. This project is our group’s first of what we hope are many investments in British Columbia and the Greater Victoria region.”
