UK: Australia-based TFE Hotels is set open its first UK properties this autumn, launching its aparthotel brand Adina in Cambridge and Glasgow.
The Hobson Cambridge by Adina and The Wellington Glasgow by Adina are set to open in autumn 2025.Â
In Cambridge, the Adina property is housed in a former police station, designed for both short and long-term stays. A bar and restaurant concept is currently in development.
In Glasgow, set just off George Square, the Adina aparthotel has been positioned to attract a “younger, experience-driven visitor”.
Asli Kutlucan, CEO of TFE Hotels Europe, said: “Our arrival in Cambridge and Glasgow signals a confident step forward for TFE Hotels’ European strategy, tapping into two cities with rich cultural appeal, strong tourism demand, and growing business travel. These two properties align with our vision of offering flexible, design-led apartment-hotel experiences in vibrant, globally connected cities.Â
“These openings not only strengthen our European footprint but also lay the foundation for further growth in the UK market, which is led by Andrew Hunter, TFE chief investment officer, who is based in London. These openings represent more than just new locations – they’re a strategic move into a key global market, delivering strong potential for sustainable returns and brand growth across the UK and Europe.”
Moritz Klein, head of operations – EU and UK at TFE Hotels Europe, added: “Launching Adina Apartment Hotels in the UK is a significant operational milestone for TFE Hotels. Our teams have been working closely to ensure a seamless brand introduction that not only meets the expectations of today’s travellers but maintains the high service standards Adina is known for. We’re excited to bring our European and Australian operational excellence together in one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets.”
