Hyatt House to open first site in Australia this July

Australia: Hyatt will launch its first House-branded extended stay hotel in Australia with a location in South Melbourne, set to open for arrivals on 1 July 2025.

The 97-room property, first announced in 2023, has been designed by architects Hayball. It is located at 30 Palmerston Crescent and forms part of the mixed-use Oasis Residences development. The 19-storey project also includes residential apartments with amenities such as a rooftop infinity pool, gym, private dining room, bar, and children’s playroom.

Rooms categories at Hyatt House South Melbourne range from king den, studio, and one-bedroom suites including dual-key rooms. Amenities include a 24/7 reception, housekeeping services, the H Bar – a social hub for breakfast and evening cocktails – a fully equipped gym, and communal spaces.

It will join a global portfolio of more than 130 Hyatt House properties worldwide.
