Spain: NUMA Group will launch its premium aparthotel brand Native by Numa in Marbella next year, the brand’s first location outside the UK.
The six-storey property is located along the main avenue of Marbella and will feature 70 rooms, a restaurant, swimming pool, and rooftop terrace. It is expected to open in 2027.
In addition to Marbella, NUMA is looking to extend the brand in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville or Granada, and is also looking at acquisition or development opportunities in Mallorca and Ibiza.
Christian Gaiser, CEO of NUMA, said: “Spain has been part of our strategic agenda for years, and it is no coincidence that we have chosen it for the first Native by Numa hotel outside the United Kingdom.
“Spain is one of the most powerful tourist markets in the world and, at the same time, one of the richest in cultural and local identity, exactly the type of environment in which Native by Numa can really stand out. Marbella combines an international demand for luxury throughout the year, driven by its exceptional climate, with travellers looking for authentic and memorable experiences, all framed in an inspiring urban and natural landscape. It marks only the beginning of our expansion through southern Europe.”
Paul Alvarez Gentles, general manager for Spain at NUMA, added: “Marbella perfectly represents what we seek in each project: a unique balance between local identity, tourist excellence, and a lifestyle that connects with travellers from all over the world. From Spain we are leading an essential part of the expansion of Native by Numa in Europe, and doing it from an enclave as emblematic as Marbella is a clear sign of our commitment to the Spanish market and to its enormous growth potential.”
