US: Marriott is set to expand in Pennsylvania with the ground breaking of an extended-stay hotel under its TownePlace Suites flag in North Cornwall Township this spring.
The TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel forms part of the North Cornwall Commons – a 136-acre mixed-use development featuring 160 townhomes, 220 apartments, a hotel, restaurants and more, developed by Byler Holdings.
It is located adjacent to the intersections of Rocherty Road and Cornwall Road. According to Byler, the TownePlace Suites hotel will be located on 106 Blackford Boulevard.
Construction is due to begin on April 16. When complete, it will feature king studios, queen-queen studios, and one-bedroom suites, all designed for longer stays. The pet-friendly hotel will also feature an outdoor pool and a grilling area.
It is expected to open in the spring of 2026 and will be managed by Shaner Hotel Group.
Shaner currently operates the 90-room Marriott Fairfield Inn and Suites at North Cornwall Commons and has 13 additional properties in Pennsylvania, with more than 50 hotels in its wider portfolio throughout the US and Europe.
Phase II of the North Cornwall Commons project will feature a senior living community, while Phase III will see the addition of business buildings.
