Radisson Hotel Group to open apartments in Poland

POLAND: Radisson Hotel Group plans to further expand its portfolio in Poland, including its extended stay offering. 

The Group already has a strong presence in the country with 23 hotels in operation (more than 5,200 rooms), and opened the Andersia Hotel & Spa Poznań, a member of Radisson Individuals and Radisson RED Gdansk hotel this year.  

The recent signing of Radisson Resort & Suites Ustronie Morskie and Radisson Serviced Apartments Krakow, are launching the Group’s new serviced-apartments brand extension to Poland, under the Radisson brand. 

Radisson Serviced Apartments Krakow (opening in Q1 2024) will have 46 apartments made up of 33 studio apartments, 11 one bed apartments, one two-bed apartment which will be around 58m2 and one three-bed apartment which will be 87 m2. There will be a reception area, breakfast area and laundry facilities. Guests will also have direct access to the Radisson RED Krakow in Unity Centre so they can use the fitness room, meeting rooms and cowering spaces and restaurant.

Radisson Resort & Suites Ustronie Morskie (opening 2025) will offer 187 serviced apartments with up to 67m² and 89 guest rooms or studios. Many apartments will feature a kitchenette, and most rooms overlook the Baltic Sea. There will be an all-day dining restaurant with an outdoor terrace, a specialty restaurant and a bar. Guests can also enjoy a spa, fitness area, games and the resort can also cater for conferences and meetings and events.

Radisson said the serviced apartment product reported more investor and operator appetite during the past two years, considering its operating model proved to be more resilient to the volatile market conditions. 

Elie Younes, Executive vice president and global chief development officer at Radisson Hotel Group, said: “After a record year in 2021 with continued growth of all our brands worldwide, we have set ourselves even higher targets for 2022. Globally, over the past three years, we have invested more than $400 million to further strengthen the relevance of our brands and developed new business offerings. We have invested another $100 million in state-of-the-art IT infrastructure… Poland is an important market for our growth strategy in Europe.”

Alongside its presence in domestic leisure destinations, Radisson Hotel Group continues to drive its prominent position across Poland’s key cities. The group recently introduced its luxury brand Radisson Collection to the country with the rebranding of the former Radisson Blu Hotel, Warsaw to Radisson Collection Hotel, Warsaw after an extensive renovation.

Future hotel openings include:

Radisson Blu Resort & Conference Center, Ostroda in early 2023.

Radisson RED Krakow and Radisson Apartments Krakow, in Q1 2024.  Both will be part of the Unity Centre business complex in Poland’s second-biggest city. 

Radisson Blu Resort, Miedzywodzie, on the Baltic coast will open in 2024.

Radisson Resort & Suites Ustronie Morskie will be the Group’s 23rd property in Poland and its eighth resort. It is scheduled to open in 2025.
