SAUDI ARABIA: Radisson Hotel Group has told the Future Hospitality Summit in Riyadh it aims to double its presence in Saudi Arabia.
The group currently operates 24 hotels, resorts, and serviced apartments in Saudi Arabia with a further 20 in the pipeline.
Elie Milky, vice president development, Radisson Hotel Group, Middle East, Cyprus, Greece, and Pakistan explained the group plans on strengthening its presence in the Kingdom.
He said: “This will be supported by a new office in Riyadh as well as an expanding team to support this strategic growth for a key focus market. Our brand portfolio is now further boosted by the recent agreement to launch the new, timeless and culture-inspired art’otel brand to the region, which will be well suited for key owners, particularly in the Kingdom.”
The regional headquarters in Riyadh will open later this year.
The group is also ramping up its extended stay options increasing its presence in Makkah as it plans to add nearly 1,000 rooms and serviced apartments in Thakher City.
Upcoming hotel openings include the Radisson Blu Hotel, Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, and the flagship Mansard Riyadh, a Radisson Collection Hotel later this year, as well as further openings in Jeddah.
Currently, Radisson has 50 hotels, resorts and serviced apartments and over 10,000 keys in operation in the Middle East.
