UK: Serviced apartment agency Situ has announced some changes to its senior executive leadership team.

Company founder Phil Stapleton moves from the role of managing director into the position of chief executive officer, and Rebecca Gonzaga will step up from her role as commercial director into the position of managing director.

In his new role of CEO, the company says Stapleton will have “more time to not only drive the global growth of Situ, but as a true expert in the field of extended stay accommodation, will continue to work collaboratively across the industry and have an increased focus on sharing insights, research, and data points on the sector through publications such as the Situ White Paper series”.

He said: “I am so proud of all that Situ has achieved. None of it would have been possible without our wonderful, diverse team who cover the globe to deliver the absolute best service and hospitality excellence. I am delighted to hand over the Managing Director reins to Rebecca. She has made such a positive impact in so many ways since joining the business and I know she is the right person to lead the business forward with her eagle-eye focus on exemplary customer and partner engagement.”

Gonzaga added: “Situ is an extraordinary business. Its deep-held values, hospitality culture, sense of ambition, and willingness to strive for new ways to approach old challenges is exhilarating. It’s been an incredible seven months and I feel honoured to serve our clients, partners, and our Situ people alongside Phil, facilitating and enabling our future growth as we become the most trusted global corporate living provider.”

Working alongside Gonzaga in the senior executive leadership team will be recently appointed Paul Lynch as Situ’s product & development director; and long-serving co-founders, Amanda Mott and Jenna Stapleton.
