UK: Serviced apartment agency Situ has gained Gold “We Invest in People” status from Investors In People.
Situ achieved 87 per cent overall, which it says is significantly higher than the average IIP Gold accreditation score. The accreditation was based on the company’s approach, conversations with the Situ leadership team regarding their ambition, and feedback gathered from Situ team members through an online survey and one-to-one interviews.
IIP’s summary reported that the survey and discussions clearly highlighted that Situ have clear values which inform their culture and the way they operate with staff, clients and stakeholders.
Phil Stapleton, Situ’s founder and managing director, said: “Receiving the news of our gold IIP status was the highlight of the past 12 months. The company is nothing without the people who work in our business. We work hard to focus on creating a culture that is inclusive, open and empowering. We want everyone to feel their contribution is important and that we care about and support their personal development. Being awarded gold endorses our approach is exactly right and of course there is a real benefit for our clients who as a result receive amazing service from our highly engaged team.”
Leah Searle, Situ’s HR manager, added: “It’s so lovely to be externally validated and recognised as being a great company to work for. It gives us the reassurance that our instinctive people centric approach really works.”
Situ currently employs more than 55 people across various locations in three countries. Yolanda Blomjous, Situ’s Benelux country manager, said: “Despite being based away from the Situ hub in Exeter where the majority of the team are located, I still feel 100 per cent involved and almost like I am in the office with everyone else. Situ really cares about my wellbeing, and the level of support and input to help me succeed as an individual and in my role is exceptional.”
