Worldwide: Meetings, events and hospitality technology provider Cvent has announced the global rollout of Cvent Instant Book across the Choice Hotels portfolio.
The new direct booking channel, available in Q3 this year, will provide a simplified booking experience for meeting planners to reserve room blocks online at Choice Hotels. Planners can search, compare real-time rates and availability, and book rooms. It bypasses the RFP process which is typically required for larger, complex events.
Properties joining the Choice distribution engine after the acquisition of Radisson Hotels Americas, which completed yesterday (26 July), will gain access to Cvent Instant Book soon.
The integration of the new Cvent tool comes as Choice grows its extended stay portfolio by 50 per cent in H1 2023. The hotel group expects the volume of its extended stay inventory to increase at an average annual growth rate of more than 15 per cent over the next five years.
Abhijit Patel, VP global distribution and commercial strategy, Choice Hotels, said: “We are excited to work with Cvent to further bolster our simplified booking options for meeting planners around the world. Our integration with Cvent highlights our commitment to providing our customers with the technology and functionalities they use most, and we will continue to expand our offerings to best showcase our hotels and attract group business to our properties.”
Jim Abramson, Cvent VP of product management, said: “We’re proud to work with Choice Hotels International to further expand our Cvent Instant Book experience. This new functionality reflects our shared vision of making booking and managing meetings and events easier – for both planners and hoteliers alike.
“By embracing innovative technology like Cvent Instant Book, Choice Hotels is prioritising the customer experience, and now, each of their property owners can easily tap into our extensive global network of 110,000 meeting and event organisers who trust Cvent to find the right venue and power their events.”
