UK: Interior construction specialist Dragonfly has completed a £1.7 million furnishing project at CitySuites Two, on behalf of developer Vita Group.

The aparthotel building is scheduled to open later this month with a soft launch. It is based on New Kings Head Yard in Embankment West and is the second CitySuites to open in the city.

The development consists of 142 luxury apartments, spa facilities, a pool and a gym, and a brasserie and meeting rooms.

Working alongside the contracts team at luxury furniture and lighting retailer Nest, design consultancy Dragonfly was appointed to oversee the full specification development and furnishing of the venue.

The year-long project involved an initial period of design and furniture workshops, followed by a 16-week procurement period and 12 weeks delivery and install.

With the accommodation ranging from studio through to three-bedroom apartments, the new development is aimed at people travelling for both business and pleasure.

Tess McKenna, from Dragonfly, said: “The CitySuites aparthotels are a game changer for the Manchester hospitality scene. The high-end luxury finishes, the self-contained apartments with fully fitted kitchens, and the complementary facilities and services are attractive to people travelling for both business and leisure purposes, and for people looking to stay just a few nights or longer. We were delighted to be appointed by Vita to oversee this development and to be trusted with such a significant furnishing brief.”
