UK: Serviced apartment agency Situ has adopted what3words location technology into its core platforms.
The what3words address for each property on the platform will appear on the Situ website and on all booking confirmations.
A recent consumer study by what3words said that over half of travellers (52 per cent) spent more than an hour getting lost on their last trip.
what3words is a way to identify precise locations. Every three-metre square in the world has been given a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. Now, people can find the front entrance to any property using just three words.
Situ managing director Phil Stapleton said: “We are always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience and make the arrival process as seamless as possible. Integrating what3words into our core business processes is a very clever way to promote easier, safer, and better travel for everyone. This partnership continues our focus to make booking serviced accommodation effortless and stress-free for both the booker and business traveller. We are also delighted that visitors to our Devon HQ will be able to find us more easily at ///assure.unless.cloth.”
Situ says it will be working closely with suppliers and operators to get the correct what3words address loaded for every location across its global network by the year end.
