US: Synergy Global Housing has appointed Aaron Turner as chief technology officer (CTO).
With a background in direct-to-traveller implementations, Turner’s focus will be on enhancing the experience for business travellers, assignees, travel managers, travel administrators and mobility managers by making it easier for accommodation partners and Synergy employees to service these groups.
“We are excited to welcome Aaron to our leadership team,” said Debra Christopher, president of Synergy. “His appointment underscores Synergy’s commitment to delivering robust, user-friendly technology that will integrate more global accommodation options, flexible payment solutions, and expanded tools for travel administrators─making the booking experience even more seamless.”
Prior to joining Synergy, Turner served as CTO for BridgeStreet Global Hospitality, where he led the development of the Stay Accommodation platform, serving more than 5,000 clients and 62,000 users with access to over 16.5 million global accommodations. His additional key technology experience includes roles as CTO for digital commerce solution provider Brandshop, and head of delivery operations and technology for eBay.
Turner said: “I am excited to bring my experience in building robust business travel platforms to Synergy. The company has long been a leader in hospitality excellence, and my goal is to refine and simplify processes across the organisation, delivering fast, easy-to-use tools for travellers, clients, suppliers and our valued Synergy employees.”
Earlier this year, Synergy delivered technology solutions to improve the internal efficiency of the organisation including a new property management system and accommodation sourcing tool.
To date, multiple Synergy clients have been integrated into the Synergy Client Platform utilising Synergy’s API framework. Additionally, a new company website was launched addressing the changing needs of the business traveller.
Turner will now accelerate the development of tools for clients and supply accommodation partners, providing even more value to them and allowing easier integration into Synergy’s suite of technology products. He will operate out of the US and will report to Synergy president Debra Christopher.
