Synergy hires in APAC expansion

SINGAPORE: Synergy Global Housing, a leader in serviced accommodation programme management, has announced the addition of Joe Low and Jacqueline Ang to its APAC team.

Both Low and Ang will be based out of Synergy’s APAC headquarters in Singapore.

In a a significant organisational milestone for Synergy, the company will now have APAC in-region sales representation for the first time through the appointment of director of sales, Joe Low.

Low joins Synergy with more than 20 years’ of experience in business development across the international hospitality space, most recently serving as director of sales for Oakwood Worldwide and previously having held management roles at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, The Langham Hotels and Resorts, Mandarin Oriental and Marriott.

Low will report to vice president, sales, APAC, EMEA and US East, Claire Barrie, and will focus on growing client partnerships and broadening the Synergy APAC footprint.

Jacqueline Ang’s appointment as supply chain director, APAC, comes during a period of major investment into Synergy’s APAC supply chain strategy. She joins Synergy just months after Michelle Low, global vice president, supply chain, was brought on board to lead the company’s overall global supply chain strategy from Singapore.

Ang brings with her 12 years of experience within the alternative accommodation industry having started her career as a client counsellor with Oakwood. Since then, she has held senior positions at Oakwood, Switchplace and National Corporate Housing. Ang will report directly to Michelle Low where she will specialise in strengthening Synergy’s supplier partner relationships in Asia.

Her robust experience in global supply chain management, coupled with her operational mindset, will see her act as a key influencer in shoring up Synergy’s growing presence on the ground in APAC. Synergy recently announced the migration of more than 3,000 properties to its cloud-based platform CodeOne.
