US: A Courtyard by Marriott and Home2 Suites by Hillton are under construction in Woodland, California.
Woodland, is just northeast of Sacramento and is known as the City of Trees.
The extended stay options will be a 109-room Courtyard by Marriott, and a 95-room Home2 Suites by Hilton near the historic downtown neighbourhood.
The two hotels are being developed and managed by Sacramento-based American Hospitality Services, Inc. and capital partner/developer LRE & Companies.
Plans for the hotels began in 2018 and it is expected they will open by the end of next year.
Owner, partner, and chief operations officer for American Hospitality Services, Inc., Vinod Patel said: “We believe in Woodland and Yolo County and believe this is the place to be and a place to stay… [it’s) a great place to visit.”
Earlier this year Island Hospitality Management acquired the management of another Home2 Suites in Woodland. But this time the Woodland Hills neighbourhood of Los Angeles.
