UK: Glasgow-based real estate firm Malyon Group has opened a new boutique aparthotel, Moment George IV Bridge, in Edinburgh’s Old Town.
The property offers seven apartments in a restored historic building near Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile.
Moment George IV Bridge is the first property to be operated under the Moment brand, and is housed in a former language college that has been transformed into a short-stay accommodation.
The apartments include three studios with castle views, three studios overlooking the city’s historic streets, and a two-bedroom apartment with dual-aspect views. Each space features a fully equipped kitchen and modern interiors.
Founder of Malyon Group, Laurence Malyon said: “Our goal isn’t just to provide a place to stay—it’s to create an experience that feels deeply personal and unexpectedly exceptional. I couldn’t be more proud of the Malyon Group team for the dedication, long days, and absolute commitment to making this all happen.”
The company posted on LinkedIn: “Our first – of many – aparthotels is set to become the benchmark for all properties we hold within the pipeline, whilst offering a design led accommodation offering in one of the most in demand tourist cities in the world.”
Malyon previously co-founded Donnini Apartments, growing the company to more than 60 units before exiting the business in March 2024.
