THE NETHERLANDS: Serviced apartment brand, Cove, has opened its first Dutch property in The Hague

Located in the busy shopping district of Grote Marktstraat, Cove – Centrum is located in the iconic arcade, De Passage building, designed by architect Bernard Tschumi.

In September last year it was announced that Edyn would transform the property into a Cove-branded serviced apartment building.

Cove – Centrum is aimed at both business and leisure travellers looking for more space in a central location.

Stephen McCall edyn’s CEO, said: “Cove – Centrum is a special project for us as it is our first Cove in mainland Europe, so we are thrilled to see how well received the brand has been in the Netherlands, which is promising for future expansion. We’re thrilled to see the property already reaching high occupancies, with a mix of travellers including corporate clients looking for extended stays, and leisure guests and families seeking more spacious and comfortable accommodation than a traditional hotel.”

There are 121 apartments, including 112 studio apartments, six large studio apartments and three accessible studio apartments.

All apartments feature a queen-size bed, smart TV, private and wifi, and fully equipped kitchens.

Communal areas include a 250 square metre lobby with a lounge and coworking space, 24-hour reception, and a communal laundry room, car parking and bicycle hire.

The De Passage building features an arcade full of boutiques, shops, restaurants and a local market.

Rob de Ridder, regional manager of Cove, said: “We’re excited to bring Cove to the Netherlands and feel confident our guests will appreciate the flexible nature of our thoughtfully designed apartments and social spaces – regardless of whether they’re travelling for work or leisure.”

Cove launched in June 2021, with locations across the UK including London and Liverpool.
