UK: An iconic post office in Warrington has been transformed into an aparthotel after a £2.5 million investment.

The Warrington aparthotel has still retained many of the original features of the Grade II-listed building, and last year the upper floors were converted into 21 apartments including a classic, a superior double and a deluxe suite.

Each apartment has a double or king-sized bed, fully equipped kitchen complete with fridge and compartment freezer, microwave oven and induction hob, kettle and toaster. There is also an iron and ironing board available.

The new development offers guests a private secure entry to the aparthotel using their smartphones.

The Old Post Office Aparthotel is encouraging guests to book directly on the website and those who do will get a complimentary upgrade to either the best room within that classification or the next classification up. This could mean more space, additional furniture, a better view or more amenities.

The Old Post Office Aparthotel is a short walk to Warrington Bank Quay train station and is located within Palmyra Square, a bustling neighbourhood with restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.
