Worldwide: Australian serviced apartment brand Adina has introduced an internal exchange program called Go Global, which allows employees to live and work at local Adina properties in different countries.

Go Global started earlier this year with Diana Quinones-Silva, cluster general manager of the Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach and Adina Apartment Hotel Coogee Sydney, becoming the first participant of the program.

Quinones-Silva relocated to Germany in July 2023 and supported various Adina hotels in Munich, Berlin, and Dusseldorf.

Two German employees – Nikol Onodi, front office supervisor at the Adina Hotel Stuttgart, and Angela di Gennaro, a relief assistant manager – have also travelled to Sydney and have both worked across local properties in the city.

A fourth candidate, Jason Stobbs, regional revenue manager based in Perth, will travel to Europe this November to spend time at the company’s European headquarters.

Agnes Lindner, director of people and capability at Adina Hotels Europe, said: “The Go Global program is an opportunity we provide to all our Adina employees, whether they work on reception, in management, or in our head office teams. The goal is to promote exchange, both in terms of operational processes and also on a personal level, while also providing a unique opportunity to accelerate professional and personal learning in a new cultural context.

“We also see this having an impact on attracting new hires to Adina and making us more interesting as an employer,” Lindner added. “This, of course, reinforces our commitment to continue Go Global.”
