France: Aparthotel operator Staycity Group will debut its Wilde brand in France, located in Bordeaux’s Canopia district with an opening scheduled in 2026.
The Wilde property will form part an “urban haute couture” mixed-use development led by the Apsys group. Designed by the architecture firm Maison Edouard François, the 70,000-square-metre project will consist of commercial, leisure and residential space.
Currently under development by Apsys, the 113-unit Wilde Aparthotel will feature two restaurants including a rooftop venue, a bar, guest lounge, laundry room, and luggage storage. It is scheduled for completion in 2026.
Staycity Group development director Barry Hickey said: “We are excited to be working alongside Apsys as part of this project in the beautiful and popular city of Bordeaux. We have successfully operated aparthotels in a number of French cities for several years now, and remain keen to expand our estate further in France, as well as in other key destinations across Europe.”
The Canopia Wilde property will join six other Staycity sites in France, including three in Paris as well as Bordeaux, Lyon and Marseille.
Staycity operates approximately 6,000 apartments across 32 locations in five European countries. Additional properties are due to open in the UK (London and Cambridge), the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Portugal (Porto and Lisbon) and Germany (Munich).
