Germany: Serviced apartment brand STAYERY is expanding its portfolio with the addition of 121 serviced apartments in the Schultheiss Quartier in Mitte, Berlin.

STAYERY has signed an agreement with HGHI Schultheiss Quartier GmbH & Co. KG, part of HGHI Holding Group, to convert office space in the Schultheiss Quartier into 121 serviced apartments.

The Schultheiss Quartier, which opened in August 2018, combines retail, catering and office space on the former site of the Schultheiss Brewery.

Planning permission for the conversion has already been submitted. When complete, the apartments will be available for both short and long-term stays, including a living and sleeping area and fully equipped kitchenette.

Amenities include a communal lounge area with self-service kiosk, a coworking area, laundry facilities and a roof terrace. Opening is planned for 2026.

“Berlin is the perfect place for the further expansion of our brand. STAYERY offers the flexibility and comfort that modern business travellers, remote workers or young tourists need,” said Hannibal DuMont Schütte, managing director of STAYERY. “We are pleased to be able to realise another successful conversion of office space with this project.”

Harald Gerome Huth, owner and managing director of HGHI Holding GmbH, added: “In the heart of Berlin-Mitte, the Schultheiss Quartier offers all facets of urban life such as working, shopping, staying overnight, sports and entertainment. We are very pleased that we were able to win STAYERY as a tenant for the Schultheis Quartier, an innovative serviced apartment brand that will enrich the tenant mix.”

The addition of the Schultheis Quartier project takes STAYERY’s total portfolio to 1,300 units across Germany.
