UK: Operator Staycity Group, in partnership with developer Citygrove, has acquired a site on Blackfriars Road in Southwark, London for its Wilde aparthotel brand.
The 25-storey scheme, located at 203–208 Blackfriars Road, will deliver more than 400 studio and one-bed apartments designed by EPR Architects.
Subject to planning, work is expected to start in June 2027 with a targeted completion for March 2030.
It follows the group’s recent acquisition in Vauxhall and will sit alongside other London-based properties in Aldgate, Covent Garden, Liverpool Street and Paddington, with more in the pipeline.
“This is another milestone acquisition for our central London pipeline, bringing in-house development to five London sites with a combined GDV of over £800 million, and marking a strategic entry into Southwark,” said Andrew Fowler, chief development officer, Staycity Group.
Staycity Group now operates 6,500 aparthotel rooms with a contracted pipeline of more 4,500 additional rooms across Europe.
