UK: Developer Thackeray Group has opened onefifty fenchurch, a 33-unit luxury aparthotel in the City of London, operated by Vertiq Hospitality Partners (formerly Cycas Hospitality).

Located at 150 Fenchurch Street, the property has been designed by Studio Mark Andrew with architecture by Falconer Chester Hall.

It occupies a former office building and for the past 24 months, has been undergoing a £12 million conversion.

Accommodation includes queen and king studios and one bedroom apartments, ranging from 17 to 31 square metres. All come equipped with kitchenettes, walk-in showers, air conditioning, and smart TVs.

Amenities include a 24-hour front office, a gym with Peloton equipment, a yoga and pilates studio, a number of private work studios for meetings, and a communal lounge with a pantry.

Brett Palos, chairman and co-founder of Thackeray Group, said: “onefifty fenchurch represents a natural evolution for Thackeray Group.” It marks the group’s entry into the hospitality sector.

Third-party operator Cycas Hospitality has merged with its parent company Vertiq Capital to become Vertiq Hospitality Partners. The newly-formed group will manage onefifty fenchurch.

Erik Jacobs, CEO of Vertiq Hospitality Partners, said: “We’re excited to announce Vertiq Hospitality Partners following an internal merger as we set out to build a pan-European operating partner business in the hospitality investment space. The combined group brings together Vertiq Capital’s investment and asset management expertise with Cycas’s operational strength and infrastructure, creating a powerful vehicle from which we can accelerate growth across Europe.”
