UK: Hospitality group edyn has hired three senior leaders across HR, property development and technology.
Dan Merchant joins the c-suite team to lead the group’s people strategy, overseeing talent, culture, organisational development strategies, along with key HR operations across the business
He most recently served as chief people officer of Freehand Hotels and Generator.
Dominique Florian also joins the edyn team from Freehand Hotels and Generator. In his new role as VP of development and design, Florian will shape the group’s development strategy and lead projects from early concept through to delivery.
Darrell Spencer has been appointed VP of IT, overseeing the company’s technology strategy, infrastructure, and cybersecurity across its properties. Spencer’s previous roles include global IT director at Generator & Freehand and CTO at Village Hotels.

Thomann was appointed CEO of edyn in January 2025. Prior to that, he held the same role for Generator and Freehand Hotels.
