US: The Home2 Suites by Hilton Clean Energy Prototype is designed to lower operational energy costs and reduce carbon emissions.
The optional design concept combines all-electric systems, renewable energy, and high-efficiency building technologies to help owners lower operating costs and reduce carbon emissions.
Features include energy-efficient building design and roofing materials, water-conscious landscaping, ENERGY STAR-rated appliances, saline pools, reusable dishware, LED lighting, among others.
Based on a modelling analysis conducted across 13 US cities, the design is expected to:
- Increase energy efficiency by 30 per cent
- Support increased property valuation
- Reduce annual energy costs by 18–40 per cent
- Reduce operational carbon emissions by 440 metric tons
