UK: Peartree Serviced Apartments in Salisbury is ready to reopen after a £500,000 ($708,200) renovation.
Peartree Serviced Apartments is located a short distance from Salisbury’s railway station and is branded as “your sanctuary in the heart of Salisbury.” Over the course of the past year, it has been renovated, leading up to the return of guests after the COVID-19 pandemic.
These renovations were initially scheduled to be completed last summer, but only reached completion in late April of this year due to delays caused by the pandemic.
Arron Howle, Peartree’s owner, said: “We are excited but nervous, which is always what happens before something big, but we’re really looking forward to opening to more guests, it’s been a long time.”
Over the course of the pandemic, Peartree’s apartments, ranging from studio apartments to family apartments, were only open to key workers, but allowed leisure guests to fully return on May 17. Howle is “excited” for guests to see the new upgrades.
In addition, upgrades to the exterior of the aparthotel will be complete soon, which Howle believes will add to the visual appeal of the city as a whole.
Renovations are not the only changes that Howle foresees for the Peartree Serviced Apartments. He believes that staying open for key workers allowed the aparthotel to fully adapt to new procedures, such as a kiosk check-in and extra cleaning, to become “Covid-secure”. He predicts that some of the changes made for safety during the pandemic will last into the post-Covid world, particularly the kiosk check-in.
Returning visitors, as well as new visitors, will be able to experience these new changes. Howle said: “It’s great news that people have started to discover hidden places like us – we saw guests for the first time [during Covid-19] who are coming back again, so it will be quite exciting to see leisure guests as well as our regulars.”
