Green light for aparthotel in Footscray neighbourhood of Melbourne

AUSTRALIA: Maribyrnong council, in Melbourne, has approved plans for a 90-key aparthotel  in the up and coming neighbourhood of Footscray.

The City Development Delegated Committee has approved the construction of a newbuild aparthotel with 90 rooms and 7145 sqm of office space.

The aparthotel will be located at 26-34 Buckley Street in Footscray.

Cr Simon Crawford said: “We do desperately need some hotel accommodation in the city of Maribyrnong but specifically Footscray.”

Footscray is an inner city suburb of Melbourne 5Km from the city’s CBD.
