UK: House of Fisher has asked its guests about the importance of sustainability after being awarded the ECOsmart accreditation in January.
The ECOsmart Accreditation by Greengage, is a reflection of the positive practices the company had implemented and its strategy for further improvements.
To keep up with its sustainability goals and plans, the company asked its guests to complete a short survey about their thoughts on the subject.
When asked how important sustainability was when booking accommodation, 63 per cent of House of Fisher guests scored it as a 4 and a 5 of importance (1 being the least and 5 being the greatest).
However, only 30 per cent said that sustainability was more important than price or location.
House of Fisher guests were also asked how much they knew about the company’s green practices. The survey suggested that those staying knew very little about what the company has done and is putting into practice, with 79.55% unaware of the ECOsmart Accreditation or House of Fisher’s sustainability commitments.
To increase guests awareness, the apartment brand will be adding notices to its properties about green living and how to take action to be more environmentally friendly. The company was clear it would be transparent about its own sustainability journey.
